40 weeks!

Dear Luke,

Today is your due date!  I thought for the LONGEST time that you were going to come early.  I've been having Braxton Hicks for the last 20 weeks...which I could have sworn meant my body was getting ready for THIS day.  :-)  But it doesn't seem that you are quite ready to join us yet.

I'm still feeling pretty good...my legs and feet are yucky and swollen though.  And three fingers in my right hand are constantly numb.  But I honestly can't really complain too much!  You are still moving, albeit a little bit more deliberately these days.  I am still having contractions, but nothing overly consistent or painful.

I came to the office today...I'm not sure what is harder:  being pregnant on your due date or having everyone in the office for the last 2 weeks say to me EVERY TIME I walk in the door... "you're STILL here?!".  I think it just goes to show how excited so many people are to meet you.

I looked at the weather today....the foreseeable future looks sunny and relatively warm.  I think you know just how much I love the sun so you're waiting to come out until the sun does.  Could that be true?!  I told Daddy that this morning and he laughed at me....but I think you already know me so well that is exactly what you are doing. Who wants to be born on a gloomy, rainy and cold day!?

Saturday is supposed to be 74 and sunny...could that be our lucky day?
