Happy 2nd birthday! My goodness, how time flies. It seems like forever ago and just yesterday all at once, that you came into our lives. And now I could never imagine it without you in it.
You are so much fun to be around - when you aren't being a typical two-year-old stinker!
You wake up talking and there's no better sound to my ears (even if it is at 5:30 am every day).
You're a bit of a home-body and would love nothing more than playing in your jammies all morning.
But once we finally get dressed and ready, you are so excited for school and you love playing with all of your friends. There are a few more special than the others. :-)
You're funny and so quirky - you make me laugh every single day and I can't wait to see how your personality continues to grow!
You love running and jumping and especially riding your bike around (inside and out; with clothes and without).
You are very sweet and say "love you" to me and Dad unprompted. I seriously could cry every time you do it. You give such good hugs and kisses and I love when you wrap your legs around my waist and hold on tight.
You get shy very easily and try to hide your face behind your arm. It's funny to us and that just makes you even more embarrassed ..I'm amazed at how much you can do hiding behind your arm! Eat, drink, play, cry, laugh, drive your cars....and you think we can't see you doing any of it.
Books are you favorite - currently you're hooked on Good night, Good night, Construction Site. And any of the Mama Llama books. Also the Very Hungry Caterpillar. You already have the "just one more" line down at bedtime too.
I'm happy and sad to say that you officially have no more ba-ba's. Dad, knowing that I am a weak, weak person around you, took the first step and switched to a sippy at bedtime while I was away on a work trip. You only cried a little bit the first night. You still ask for it but we just give you the sippy and you seem to be annoyed, but take it. I miss giving you a bottle at bedtime and in the morning when you wake up because you were so snuggly and sleepy with me. But this is better for you and it was time. And luckily, you still snuggle with me so it all ended up ok.
Our sweet boy...you're already two years old. Can you ever know how much we love you? Thank you for being such a great kiddo - we are so lucky to be your Mama and Dad.
Happy birthday Bubby!
Love,
Mama
