Dear Bubba,

Boy oh boy do I miss you.  It's week 2 of being away from you and I think this week is just as hard, if not harder, than last week.

Our weekend was too short, you didn't get enough sleep, and I had to leave you before I was ready.  You broke your streak of sleeping well when I'm away.  You woke up at 11, 1, 3:15 and 5:30 for Dad last night...not good, not good at all.  You fell asleep today on the floor with Adelia.  I had to fight back tears when I got this picture in my meeting because I knew it meant you were so, so tired. 

Dad has been so good about sending me pictures.  My favorite is from this morning when you first woke up.  I can just smell you and feel your soft little pudgy legs.  I'd bet anything Dad snuggled with you for awhile before you two got up for the day.

I think you two had a good time tonight because he sent some pretty awesome pictures of you!  There are lots of interpretations of the following picture, but without a doubt, it will most certainly make it into your high school picture collage someday!!  What kind of parents would we be if we didn't embarrass you when you're 18?!

And here you are ready for bed in your new puppy jammies.  When I ordered these last week, I thought they looked HUGE...you proved me wrong again because they fit you just perfect.

Only 3 more nights away.  I hope you sleep better tonight and are a happy boy tomorrow.  You're back at Callan's tomorrow and I think maybe that will be good for you.  Back to the routine and your little buddy.

I think about you all the time and today I had our song in my head all.day.long.  So here you go...I'll imagine I'm right next to you with my cheek on your forehead, singing your favorite tune.

The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout.

Down came the rain and washed the spider out.

Out came the sun and dried up all the rain,
