We were so lucky to have everyone make the trip to Chicago. And it was a bit reminiscent of last year's Mother's Day....only Luke was just days old then! Crazy to see some of these pictures now - it was all such a blur then....

The difference in just a year blows.my.mind.
I was showered with wonderful Mother's Day gifts this year. Sweet smelling candles and hand wash, a new case and keyboard for my iPad, framed pictures and handmade cards - even from Luke! I am so very lucky.
I just wanted to share two of the pictures I got this weekend....
Mom and Amber totally blew my socks off when I opened this gift and saw the photo below. When Luke stayed with Gramma in March she took all the kiddos to a photographer to get their pictures taken. I absolutely love this - I think the expressions on all three of them fits their personalities!
Maci: The cat that ate the canary

Luke: {breathing heavy} "When can I get out of here and run around?!?!!!?!"
And this was taken by Katie last weekend when she was in Chicago...if this isn't "THE" Luke expression, I don't know what is. It was framed with the caption "You're my favorite.". Oh how I love his face and mouth and eyes and ears and nose and cheeks....
I'm not only lucky to be the mama of one amazing little boy, but so lucky to have the best mom I could dream of in my life, a sister who is an amazing mother, a mother-in-law who treats me as her own daughter and a sister-in-law who has two beautiful little girls who couldn't have mother that loves them more.
I'd say we all have a lot to be thankful for.
Thank you to all of the mamas in my life - all of you have taught me something along the way that has made me a better mother.
