Luke is getting older and wiser so as soon as Dr. Selig walked in the room he instantly changed his happy playful tune. His lip pouted out, he tried to basically climb INSIDE of Dad and generally cried and sobbed (sometimes without sound) for the rest of the appointment. To his defense, the last few times at the doctor were not pleasant for him (ear infections and Hand, Foot and Mouth). This one wasn't either.
His ears looked good, but she still had to look in them which was drama. Our kid has freakish strength in his neck and it took all of us to try to get him to hold still. Everything after that was torture for him because he was already so worked up. And the poor thing gets very visibly shaken when he's upset (like his Mama) so he was covered in bright red blotches all over.
However, he checked out A-OK! Growing pretty steadily, all of his behaviors seemed on track. And our sweet hearted boy even settled down enough to wave bye-bye and blow Dr. Selig a kiss when she left.
Little did he know the appointment wasn't quite over....he got 3 shots and these seem to be troubling him more than normal. Woke up this morning and his poor little leg hurt. Hopefully he's better by tonight.
Once again, very thankful for our happy and healthy boy.
Yesterday was my day at home with Bubby, so we went to the Children's Museum at Navy Pier in the morning.
We took the bus and he flirted all.the.way.there. with anyone who would give him eye contact (and he even tried with those that wouldn't). Luckily, a nice lady thought he was cute and pretty much kept him occupied all the way.
Here's a little hint if you ever want to go to this museum: go on a weekday morning! Holy smokes - it was like we had the whole place to ourselves! It was awesome and we had such a fun time. I'll let you see in pictures.
