AAA (that's Awesome Auntie Amber) came with Big M and little m (that's Maddie and Maci) to the city to visit us last week. We had an awesome time and learned some things about each other too!
Like...Maci HATES to walk. That's kind of a problem when we walk everywhere. :-)
And...Maddie just so wants to be a mommy to Luke and he doesn't appreciate her hugs and kisses very much right now.
And....Luke must not get scolded enough by us because when Amber was stern with the girls, Luke would lay on the floor with his head down and sob as if HE was the one in trouble. Poor kid!
We did lots of fun things together like taking the bus and el downtown to my office so the girls could see where I work. Our office seems like a library and that day was no exception - it made me happy to see the girls and Luke running down the hallways and standing at the windows looking out. It's about time our office get a little stirred up once in a while!
The girls got to babysit for Luke one day while I went to work. Luke cried when I left but Amber said he was great all day and had fun playing with the girls. They went to Wiggleworms at Millennium Park. Luke sat and took it all in and Maci pouted the entire time because she doesn't like singing and dancing. Ha!
We made our own pizza's one night, too. I had to work hard to get Maci to put more than a little dab of sauce on her crust. And Mad's put almost an entire bag of peperoni's on her little pizza before I even noticed!
Luke had fun watching them and being silly.
The pizza's turned out great and M&m gobbled them up.
The last day we went to the Zoo. It was a great day, not too hot, and I think everyone liked it! The favorite part was definitely the carousel though!
Maci showing off her feather she found on the sidewalk. :-)
Can you see the orangutans in the background??
Snacks!
Carousel
Not so sure Luke likes it....he had a death grip on that bar....(when he wasn't climbing up the front of me grabbing my neck like he was going to fly off our little hippo.)
And to top off the fun visit, we went to Gramma's favorite restaurant in Chicago: Leona's. We took down some massive amounts of pasta and went home to collapse into food comas.
Maddie being funny and Maci being a stinker.
Happy Girls
Hugs for Lukey
We had such a great time with them I can't believe how fast it went. It became pretty clear that we REALLY don't have a lot of visitors. Luke was a bit out of his element having people in his space and seemed uber sensitive. Maybe it will be good for Luke to go to daycare soon and get exposure to chaos on a daily basis. I'm fairly certain he's going to hate it at first, but he will adjust (I hope).
I can't wait for all three of these girls to come back to visit again!!
