Sunday was a great day for a morning at the patch - it was about 60 when we got to Johansen Farms and close to 70 by the time we left.
First things first, Bubby (Mama) needed some apple-cinnamon donuts and hot cider. We made a quick pit stop in the bakery and then headed out to take a look through the pumpkins. Luke was more interested in climbing them than anything...
After we scoped out some good ones to pick up on our way out, we headed to the petting zoo - and Luke scared some ghosts on the way....
I was a little worried at first, Luke was not thrilled about being up close to the animals. But soon enough he warmed up and he took quite a liking to some little chicks. We quickly had to leave because he thought it would be fun to squeeze the chicks body like a little "gwape". Yikes.
After that, we found some goats. One poor little guy was out of the pen and Luke had quite a lot to say about that....
Bubby loved feeding the geese and roosters...
Our last stop in the zoo was in the pen with all the little goats. One unlucky baby got to feel a little bit like Noah (Gramma's dog). Luke chased that poor thing around and thought it was so funny. Makes me feel bad for these poor petting zoo animals!
A trip to the Pumpkin Patch wouldn't be complete without a 15 minute wait for a 30 second long train ride!
And of course we couldn't forget our pumpkins on the way out! Luke even wanted to prove his super-human baby-strength and pulled the wagon for awhile.
We had a really good time (except for the part where Daddy realized he lost his iPhone somewhere along the way). It was so fun being able to take Luke and watch him run and explore everything. I never get tired of watching him experience things.
Now we have 4 pumpkins and lots of goodies for the trick or treater's that are sure to come to our door next week. Now only if it would FEEL like October instead of May!
So stinking cute! That looked like a lot of fun. I miss that little bubs (and his mama too). Hope you guys are settling back in...
