22 Months

My dear Bubby,

Happy 22 months!  Time is flying by at warp speed and in two short months you'll be TWO!

You seem to be changing by the day....growing, learning, becoming more and more brave (read: daredevil).  We are constantly surprised by you.  We laugh and smile with you every day.

Two years ago, you were still cooking in my belly and we were showered with gifts by our friends and family on this weekend:

We were very excited, ha ha!

And one year ago you were just a small little bundle of chub that Dad could toss oh so easily:

Now you are a crazy, loving, sweet and sassy, fearless little boy.  Most of time you're literally jumping off the furniture or climbing up anything that is sturdy enough (and some things that are not).

You're saying so many words now and putting lots of things together.  It's really helping us figure out what you want which is awesome, but also causes a lot of frustration when we can't quite understand what you're saying.

You got sick again so we are scheduled to get tubes in your ears at the end of the month.  We hope this will put an end to the ear infections.  We'll also be doing twice daily steroid nebulizer treatments for some asthma symptoms.  You get so wheezy when you're sick that the docs think this will help keep all that gunk from settling in your chest if/when you get another cold.

I've also been reminded in the last month at just how lucky we are to only have to deal with colds and ear infections.  Your life is so precious and I don't take any of our moments together for granted anymore.  I squeeze you a little bit tighter and breathe in your scent a little more often.

We are headed to Florida for a family vacation in 2 weeks - I am so excited.  We had a wonderful time last year and I can't wait to take you to the beach for some fun in the sun.  Here you are last year about this time...amazing how much you've changed!

Happy 22 months my sweet boy - your Dad and love you so much.  Your laugh and smile is absolutely contagious and your meltdowns and tantrums are hysterical (in hindsight mostly).  I can't imagine our lives without you in it!

Love
Mama
