Here we are at 18 weeks...some days I feel like I'm getting bigger by the minute and some days I feel like I haven't grown at all.
Being pregnant exactly 6 months opposite from your first creates some clothing challenges...I tried to get by with some things I had from the last time which worked for awhile because the weather decided to stay cool for much longer than we expected. But now that we've hit the 80's, I really needed some maternity shorts and some short sleeved shirts. So much for not spending a lot on this pregnancy....I guess we'll make up for it by not finding out the sex so we won't go on a spending spree for new boy things or girly outfits!
Seems like I'm hungry all the time these days but I'm trying pretty hard to keep it under control. No wacky cravings any more but I seriously could eat all.day.long. Bubby loves it because I'm happy to give him "'nacks" all the time because that means I get some too. :-)
Daddy is headed off to a fun golf tournament on Wednesday with his buddies in Northern Michigan and Luke and I will take off on Sunday to drive and meet him there. We're taking a whole week off to enjoy the lake and just relax. We're hoping for warm weather so we can be out on the boat and maybe take a few trips to the splash pad in Charlevoix.
When we come back, it'll be time for our 20 week ultrasound. Last time I just couldn't wait to find out if my munchkin was a boy or a girl (we were certain it was a girl). Now, all I want to know is that this baby is developing perfectly and that he or she is as healthy as possible.
Here's the weekly picture - still on track for being bigger than I was with Luke. I wonder at what point we'll even out? I sure hope I don't stay this much bigger the entire time!
Also, I'm thinking I want to get my hair cut like it was in my Luke picture...it actually had a shape and some body to it. Or maybe it was because back then I still showered in the morning and used mousse and a hairdryer. And a hairbrush.... Yep, a hairbrush might help...
