22 Weeks

Baby has been moving and shaking quite a lot lately - not sure if it's really more than Luke did, but it seems like it.  The belly might be evening out a bit compared to Luke now, too, although it still FEELS more cushy around the edges than it did with Bubby.  I have Braxton Hicks pretty frequently and have been for awhile, and those seem more pronounced than with Luke.  I only got them when I exercised the first time around.  Now it happens when I'm just sitting.

We've started brainstorming where we're actually going to put this Babe once he/she arrives.  Of course with us for awhile, but I think we've figured out how we are going to rearrange Luke's room and the tiny playroom to make room for everything.  I have a few projects I want to tackle (painting both kid's rooms and a new (old) dresser for Luke) so I'll probably start those sometime soon before the 3 trimester sleepies hit.

Bubby has had a pretty rough week.  We thought much of it was due to the new classroom and teacher (and it probably still is) but 2 nights ago he slept awful and was up quite a bit in the night crying.  Mike kept him home for a couple of hours in the morning yesterday but then took him to school.  When he got home we noticed that he looked like it hurt when he swallowed.  After a trip to urgent care, we realized why he's been so grumpy, tired and generally a nightmare - he had strep.  Poor boy.  So we're on antibiotics and hopefully by tomorrow he'll be feeling much better.  His tonsils looked pretty big again and I hope this isn't taking on us down a path to a tonsillectomy.

Of course, we had fun plans for this weekend with Callan and Nora so we'll find another time to have them over.  And he'll miss his first swimming lesson tomorrow too.  Never a good time to be sick.

Hopefully we'll be back to having this much fun soon:
