Sometimes when I'm walking, I find myself smiling.
The thing is, usually when I see people smiling while they are walking I think they're weirdos. Seriously, in the city, if you're making any type of face while you're walking - smiling or otherwise - you're kind of a weirdo. But I find myself doing this a lot. Usually I'm thinking about Mike and something he said or did while I'm walking.
Today while I was walking home, this happened to me. I can't even remember what it was that I was smiling about. But it made me think that maybe it would be a good idea to mention something I love about Mike each time I blog.
The greatest part about this is that I have a billion things I could say about why I love Mike (and the things that make me smile while I'm walking). But when I got home he did something that wasn't at the top of my list of "Things I Love About Mike". It was brand new.
I was going to walk to the gym without him (our car is in the shop) and he said, "So how are you walking to the gym? Down Randolph or Lake?". He was asking because he didn't want me to walk alone - he couldn't go and he wanted to make sure he knew the exact path I was taking. In case I took longer than usual he would know just where I had been.
Now, never in my life has anyone asked me the exact path I was taking just in case something happened. Well, except for mom - and mom's always ask what path you're taking.
That's #1 of an infinite number of reasons I'm in love with Mike.
