First Time at Wrigley

I've been so excited to take Luke today to his FIRST game at Wrigley.  I didn't really say anything about it to anyone because we all know life with a toddler is anything but predictable and I didn't want to get my hopes up in case we just couldn't go.  But we did and it was great!

Not only was it his first Cubs game but they were playing the Tigers - I mean come on - how much more perfect could it get?!

Wrigley was full of Tigers fans which was good for Daddy - and Bubby got in on the "Let's Go Tigers" chant right away.

This is actually his second baseball game.  The first game he went to was in Florida when we were on vacation.  He went with Mike and his friends to a Tigers spring training game.  At that time, he was 10 months old and just wanted to explore non-stop.  Not that he's not like that now, but he was so much better this time around and liked clapping and checking people out.  He even came THIS close to falling asleep on Dad's lap.  If it wasn't for the crazy man behind us screaming at every pitch he probably would have dozed off.

Instead, he got excited when they announced Verlander...

Had fun watching the game in his own seat...

Clapped when everyone else clapped....

Got very intense at the same time Daddy did....

Cheezed it up for a picture with Mama....(and OMG it's time for me to cave and go back to coloring my hair again - HOLY GRAY - thanks MOM)

and got to have ice cream in between innings.

We had a great time!  We only stayed for about half the game - Bubby really was so tired and he was getting close to being c.r.a.n.k.y. so we decided to get out before things took a turn for the worse.  I love going to baseball games so today was so awesome for me.  I got to go with my two best boys.

On the way home Bubby got a second wind and decided to jog part of the way...

He was sleeping before we left the parking spot and is currently still out....!

What a perfect day!
