Yesterday when Adelia came, she brought Luke a big present for Valentine's Day - literally - and he loves it. Well sort of - he loves to think the loves it...It's a huuuuge balloon that plays music. It's pretty loud and he's not so fond of that (sadly I think he got his mama's sonar hearing). Last night he kept looking over his shoulder from his high chair, making sure it wasn't anywhere near him.
Here it is....close enough so he can see it and reach for it, far enough away that he can't make the music play. :-)
Today Luke gave Adelia a little card and some cupcakes. Not the amazingly good Sugarcake kind, but the out of the box, eat half the batter before it makes it into the oven, odd-shaped kind. And to top it off, I had no cupcake liners. So I used waxed paper (which I read you shouldn't do but I did it anyway) and they turned out okay (so I'm glad I did it). I even had some sprinkles to throw on top which I think detracted nicely from the badly cut waxed paper liners and sloppy frosting job...right??
Aside from missing Daddy Valentine, I'd say I had a pretty good love-night around here with Baby Valentine. I was greeted at the door with a big smile and shrieks of excitement when I got home, got some kisses and hugs throughout the night and at bedtime I got to snuggle in and hold tight to a sweet little man.
Here's some video from tonight....I just wanted to get some new clips of him walking (he's getting so much more steady) but in the middle he wiggled through an opening in his cage and spent some time contemplating what he might get in to while on the outside.... Couldn't you just eat those delectable legs??
And one more just because he looks so cute in it....
