Day 1

Well, Bubs, you are doing STELLAR without Mama.  A recap of your day yesterday:

You woke up veeery early with me and were bright eyed and bushy-tailed by the time Adelia got to our house to watch you (Dad had to go to Indiana for a quick meeting in the morning and had to leave at the same time as Mama).  She got there at 5:45 am and you already had some playtime, pooped through an outfit and were dressed and in your jumparoo.  By the time she got you over to Callan's around 7:30, you were tired again and took an hour and a half nap.  Then, at 2:00, she snapped this picture of you:

You fell asleep MID ROLL.

Dad said you took a couple more 30 min naps in the afternoon and then he picked you up and you took your usual catnap on the way home.

By the time I got back from my work dinner, it was after 7 and Dad said he was rocking you with your bottle already.  But luckily for me, you had a big poop again so he had to change you...which woke you up long enough that I could FaceTime you!  I got to see your smiling face and sang The Itsy Bitsy Spider to you while you were on your changing table.  I miss you so much.

This morning, Dad texted me and said you had an "incredible" night.  I was worried for a minute...that could have meant incredibly BAD or incredibly GOOD.  Thankfully it was the latter.  You went to bed at 8 and woke up for the first time at 3:30 AM!  You slammed 6 oz and went right back to bed.  Dad woke up at 6, made coffee, stirred around downstairs for a bit and when he went upstairs at 6:30 to check on you, you were just hanging out in your crib - awake and happy.  MY GOOD BOY!  So proud of you.  Dad said that he still woke up every hour and a half thinking that you would wake up at any moment!

Way to go Lukey!  I hope you have another good night tonight...I miss you so much but I'm so happy that you're doing well without me.  I knew you would.  I can't wait until tomorrow night when I am home to hug and kiss you (and your Dad).

Love,
Mama
