ORD => DSM
Dear Bubba,
I'm here at gate F12 waiting to board my flight to Des Moines. There was a time not so long ago that I got excited to go to the airport. I'd pack my bags, call the cab the night before and wake up ready to go on a trip to a new (or not) city.
Today, I am not excited for this trip and I'm already missing you so much that my heart hurts. I know you'll be fine and probably won't even know I'm gone! Your Dad is going to be fine without me too....but that doesn't make me miss you any less.
I hope you have a good couple of days without Mama. Know that I'll be thinking of you all the time. I love you!

ReplyDeleteLuke will be just fine and he won't remember you were gone :) Daddy, on the other hand, will be so glad to see you when you get home! Look at it this way...you get TWO NIGHTS OF UNINTERRUPTED SLEEP!!!
