One year ago I announced on Facebook that we were expecting a baby in April 2011...we had just gone to the doctor for the first appointment and we saw Luke's strong little heartbeat. We were so happy and up until that point, it was the best birthday I'd ever had.
Until this year. Luke is the best present I've ever been given - I love him more and more every day and waking up to him this morning could not have been a better gift.
It was a rainy, gloomy day this morning and I didn't want to leave my bed with my two favorite boys. I trudged to work in the rain, pants soaking, hair flat and an inside out umbrella by the time I got to the office. But this was waiting for me when I sat down and looked out the window:
Not a bad way to start my 34th year.
I love you Bubba and Daddy - thank you for being the first to wish me a happy birthday - I love you both so much!
