No-Go for Herbed Turkey and Pasta

So Luke is getting big enough that we can start giving him some new foods.  I thought it would be good to try herbed turkey and pasta.  That sounds GOOD, right?!  We tried it on Saturday night when Olivia was over to play.  He took a couple of bites and did some fake gags but swallowed a little bit.  He spit out the little pasta bites but we just figured he wasn't used to the texture and we'd try it again later.  He got mac n cheese instead.

Last night I decided to give it another shot.  Nice and warm out of the microwave...I gave him a bite and there was major gagging.  I took a bite to see if it really was bad and actually it did NOT taste that great.  I've tried everything I've given to him and like it all (except for rice cereal - ack).  It just tasted very.....herb-y.  But I tried one more time...and he gagged so much that he literally threw up.  I mean, real throw up.  Luckily he was wearing one of those bibs that catches everything (nice visual, I know).

Anyway, Luke is off the hook for herbed turkey and pasta for now.  A big thumbs-down to Gerber on that one.

He is a little piggy and eats everything so I knew it must be bad.  Here's a picture of him today watching Adelia eat some applesauce.  I think I mentioned in an older post that he wrings his hands when he's hungry.  Check this out - hands wringing, mouth open and everything.  Poor Bubs.  He looks like we never feed him, right?  I think we're going to have to add some lunch to his day pretty soon.

One more picture for the day...Adelia just sent this.  Happy boy out for a walk in his Sparty hat!
